Just when I thought my runs couldn't get any better, or safer I might add, Jenne got me the best birthday present ever! What up head lamp! We looked so rad in our matching head lamps, and the terrain seemed extra rocky tonight as special added bonus. I actually think Jenne stumbled more than before the head lamps, but whatev. Also it kind of feels like a rubber band around my brain but in a good way. I don't know how we ever got by without them.
We ran for 60 minutes tonight and it was HARD. I am reading this book called Women Who Run, that I picked up at the library last week for some extra motivation. I couldn't finish any runs at the beginning of last week and I was super annoyed with myself. I thought maybe if I read about running it would inspire greatness. It is kind of working I guess. I really appreciated the intro ( I haven't gotten very far obviously) where the author talks about how each run is different and sometimes your legs just feel like lead and the run goes poorly, or something like that. Every day feels different. The hills are KILLING me, but the long runs seem more manageable. I can't quite figure it out but as long as I finish it, who really cares.
To head lamps!
